Tags: , , ,
Tutorial : Flower Motif #1
Level : Beginner to Intermediate

Warning : Heavy pictures under cut.

I don't have a pattern for this one. I just adapt from the other pattern.

What you need :
- 4 mm. Bicones Swarovski Crystal.
- Seed beads.
- Nylon coated thread no. 20.

1.

We start from the middle. Cut the nylon thread around 80 cm. If you want to make a ring, then 100 cm. Form a circle of six seed beads as in the picture.

2.

Add crystal, seed bead, crystal and seed bead as in the picture.

3.

Join both lines by a crystal (red arrow). Put a line through the seed bead (blue arrow).

4.

Add seed bead, crystal and seed bead as in the picture.

5.

Join both lines by a crystal (red arrow). Put the line through the seed bead (blue arrow).

Repeat step 4. and 5.

6.

From the sixth crystal, you put the line through the seed bead (red arrow) and continue through the crystal (blue arrow).

7.

Add seed bead to each line and join them with a crystal.

8.

Add three seed beads and put that line into the crystal (red arrow).

Repeat it to all the outbound crystals.

9.

Put the line through the first and second seed bead (red arrow).

10.

Add crystal, seed bead and crystal.

11.

Put the line through the second seed bead (red arrow).

Repeat it.

12.

Now you keep the remaining thread. String them back into the bead and crystal to tighten your work. Tie the threads together.

You can do a lot with this motif. Here I make a ring. I think I will make a bracelet in this color too. :-)

Thank you very much.

I normally did not make many brooches but you can use my flower motif tutorial to make a brooch.

I just made some of these, only simpler, only did step 1-7. Now I'm sewing them on to a scarf as decorations. I just want to thank you again beejang, for taking the time to make these tutorials, I sure appreciate it :)
