Tutorial : Crystal Bracelet #3
Level : Intermediate to Advance

Warning : Heavy pictures under cut

The design belongs to Rainbow Art. I saw this bracelet both from their website and at their shop. Very stunning beautiful! After take a look at it many times, I figure out how to do it.

My mother's friend asked me to make this red bracelet for her. So I took my old compact camera and take photos when I did it.

Equipment :
- 4 mm. Swarovski Crystals
- Seed Beads
- O-rings
- Clasp
- Nylon Thread No. 20

In my tutorial, I use Light Siam and Crystal AB.

1.

Cut the nylon thread around 2.5 - 2.7 m. Yes, I know it's rather long and difficult to work with. When I tried this bracelet, I cut the thread 2 m. and it was not enough in one go. If you have this problem, not enough thread to finish your project, just string back into your work and tie the threads together. Cut the new thread and continue where you left off.

Now, onto the first row, you start with the crystal (red arrow). One side of the thread adds seven seed beads. The other side adds seed bead, crystal and seed bead. Join both lines with a crystal.

2.

Add crystal to both lines and join them with a crystal (red arrow).

3.

Add seven seed beads to the line above. Add seed bead, crystal, seed bead to the line below. Join both lines by a crystal.

Now repeat step 2 and 3 until you reach the length you want. Don't forget to minus about 1.5 cm. for the clasp too. That is, if your wrist is 18 cm., continue beading around 16.5 - 17 cm.

4.

This is the last loop of the first row. The above line adds seven seed beads, crystal and seed bead. The line below adds one seed bead.

5.

Join both lines by a crystal (red arrow).

6.

This is the beginning of the second row. Add two crystals to the outbound line. Then, join both lines by a crystal.

7.

Add two seed beads each line, then join them with a seed bead (red arrow).

8.

Add two seed beads each line, then join them with a crystal (red arrow).

9.

Put the above line into the crystal of the first row (red arrow). The line below just adds crystal. Join both lines by a crystal (blue arrow).

Repeat step 7 - 8 - 9.

10.

This is the last loop of the second row. You add the line into the existing crystal (red arrow), add one crystal and join both lines by a crystal (blue arrow).

11.

This is the start of the third row. The outbound line adds seed bead, crystal and seven seed beads. The other line adds one seed bead. Then, join both lines by a crystal (red arrow).

12.

Now, we're going to do the loop for adding o-ring and clasp. Put the line back into the seed bead, crystal and seed bead (red arrow).

13.

Add six seed beads and put the line into the seed bead (red arrow).

14.

Normally, the loop for adding o-ring and clasp, I will string the thread back into the beads two or more times to ensure that the loop is strong enough to hold the clasp.

Here, just follow my red arrow. String the thread back into the beads to tighten the loop.

15.

Now, return the string to where we will continue. Just follow the red arrow.

16.

Add crystal to each line, then join both lines by a crystal (red arrow).

17.

The line below adds one seed bead (red arrow), then put the line into the crystal (blue arrow).

18.

The above line adds seven seed beads. The other line adds one seed bead. Join both lines by a crystal (red arrow).

Repeat step 16 - 17 - 18

19.

This is the last loop of the third row. Join both lines at the crystal (red arrow).

20.

Now, this is the end loop for o-ring and clasp. String the line into the seed bead (red arrow). Add six seed beads and put the line into the seed bead (blue arrow).

String back and forth into the beads and crystal until you think it tight enough. Tie the threads together and keep the remaining threads by putting them back into the beads.

21.

Add o-ring and clasp to your bracelet.

Sorry for the very long tutorial. It seems that my camera is working well now. LOL! (But I still want to buy new DSLR camera in computer expo next week.) Or next time, I should select the bright colors to do tutorial. LOL

I just hope this is not too difficult.
