May. 13th, 2009 @ 09:12 am [Tutorial] Crystal Bracelet #15
Tutorial : Crystal Bracelet #15
Level : Beginner

The design is from Thai Crystal Book.

Equipment :
- Swarovski Bicone Crystal 3 mm.
- Swarovski Bicone Crystal 4 mm.
- Swarovski Round Crystal 6 mm.
- Seed Bead 11/0
- Nylon Thread
- Clasp and Jumprings

The deep green color here is Palace Green Opal.

I couldn't remember the length of thread I used for this one. If you want to finish the bracelet in one go, just cut the long length of nylon thread, maybe around 180-190 cm. You have to go through the bracelet three times.

Then, make a ring of nine seed beads.

Add four seed beads to each side of thread, then cross the threads at a round crystal (red arrow).

Add four seed beads to each side of thread, then cross both threads at a seed bead (red arrow).

Repeat step 2 and 3 to your desired length.

End the bracelet with a ring of nine seed beads.

Put the threads inside four seed beads at each side (red arrows).

Add one new seed bead to each side (red arrows). Put the thread into the next seed bead (blue arrows).

Add one 3 mm. crystal, one 4 mm. crystal and 3 mm crystal to each thread. Put the thread into the seed bead (red arrows).

Repeat step 7 and 8 to the rest of the bracelet.

Yes, you can stop here if you want. It looks great now.

If not, we continue the last part of the bracelet. We start from the crystal (red arrow).

Add four 3 mm. crystals to each side. Put the thread into the 4 mm crystal of the next set.

Repeat step 11 to the rest of the bracelet. Add jumprings and clasp.

Now we finish the bracelet ♥

Dear Beejang, pls visit my blog: sakurabg.blogspot.com to see my first braslet on your master-class (braslet #15).

"Lilac afternoon" - тhis is the name of the bracelet :)))- light and good to do it in the hot Sunday afternoon. I'm still a beginner and I did initial steps of master-class only . Sorry. :)

I think you did great for the beginner especially the closure and the color theme. Very genius to end the bracelet by lobster clasp and ring of seed beads with a lovely bead at the end. Lilac afternoon is a perfect name for your beautiful bracelet. Nice job!

I'm sorry about the quantity for each bead. All my early tutorials don't include this info since I was too lazy to count. (But all my new tutorials will have this info). And I don't have this bracelet anymore (already sold it many years ago :D), so I don't know the exact number for each bead now.

Roughly, I count from my pictures. You need 13pcs. round beads. for the bracelet length of 6.5-7 inches. For bicones, most shops sold in a package of 50 or 100pcs, which should be enough. And seed beads is not more than 5g.

When you want to finish off, just weave your thread into your beads until two threads met, I just tie simple surgeon or square knot and weave the remaining thread into the beads some more.
