Tutorial : Estelia
Level : Intermediate

Before you get start, please read community info here.

I added more rules about sharing my tutorials and I have to rewrite it again if I can think of additional rules to add. It's to protect my copyrights. It came to my attention lately that some of my tutorials were stolen to post in other website (Chinese biggest beads supplier you all know) without my permission and all my watermarks also were removed. I already deal with the website, my tutorials were removed and got the apology letter. But it still left me a bad feeling since I'm not sure they found my tutorial themselves or someone DID submit my tutorials for easy cash.

That's also explained my absence. lol Okay, back to tutorial now.

- 1 pc. Rivoli 12mm. (Swarovski, Aquamarine)
- 12 pcs. Bicone 3mm. Color A (Czech or maybe Chinese, Blue Alabaster. I got from China Town in Thailand, I don't know where you can get them online, sorry.)
- 12 pcs. Bicone 3mm. Color B (Swarovski, Copper)
- 18 pcs. Superduo. (Czech, Magic Blue Pink. I got them from scarabeads.etsy and BeadsOfBohemia.etsy)
- 6 pcs. Solo (Czech, Light Blue. I got them from BeadsOfBohemia.etsy. You can use drop beads, superduo or twin or even bicone or pearl 3mm.)
- 1g. Seed Bead 11/0 (Miyuki, Duracoat Muscat #4206. I got them from redpanda.com)
- 1g. Seed Bead 15/0 (Miyuki, Galvanized Silver #181)

- Nymo D or Fireline or your favorite thread.
- Beading needle

On comfortable length of thread, pick up alternate pattern of 11/0 and superduo six times, total of 12 beads.

Tie your threads into the tight circle (red arrow). Pass your thread to all beads with good tension. Exit your thread at any superduo and pass through the outside hole (blue arrow).

Pick up 15/0, bicone color A and 15/0. Pass through the outside hole of the next superduo (red arrow).

NOTE : This is at the back of your pendant and I don't have many blue alabaster beads so I use simple clear crystal here.

Repeat step 3 all around. You should get this. Exit at the first 15/0 added (red arrow).

Pick up superduo, 11/0 and superduo. Skip the bicone. Pass through the next 15/0 (red arrow), superduo, and exit at the next 15/0 (blue arrow).

Repeat step 5 all around. You should get this.

Exit at the first superduo added and pass through the outside hole (red arrow). And pass through the outside hole of the next superduo (blue arrow).

Pick up three 15/0, pass through 11/0 (red arrow).

Pick up three 15/0, pass through the outside hole of the superduo (blue arrow) and the next superduo (green arrow).

Repeat step 7 all around, you should get this. Exit your thread at the superduo before 15/0 (red arrow).

Pass through the inside hole of the same superduo (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0, bicone color A and 11/0. Pass through the inside hole of the superduo (blue arrow).

Pass through 11/0 and exit at the next superduo (green arrow).

Repeat step 9 all around. You should get six arcs. Exit at the first bicone (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0, 15/0 and 11/0. Pass through the next bicone (red arrow).

Use tight tension to repeat step 11 all around, but before you complete adding seed beads with the last arc, put rivoli inside. Pass through all beads again for extra security. It should hold the rivoli safely.

Exit your thread at the bicone (red arrow).

Pass through 11/0 (red arrow), superduo, 11/0 and three 15/0s. You should exit at the thrid 15/0 (blue arrow).

Pick up bicone color B, 15/0 and bicone color B. Pass through the next two 15/0s (red and blue arrow).

Pick up 15/0, solo and 15/0. Pass through the second and thrid 15/0s (red and blue arrow).

Repeat step 14 and 15 all around. Almost done now.

This is how I do the bail. Exit at 15/0 between bicone (red arrow). Pick up six or any number of 11/0s, pass through the same 15/0 we started. Pass through all beads again.

Pass through the first 11/0. Pick up 15/0 and pass through the next 11/0. Continue adding 15/0 between each 11/0 all around.

Pass the remaining thread to your beads. Do the half hitch knot as many time as you want for extra security. Or if you are like me who still keep your tail on, tie your thread with the tail.

This is my first try with this design.

Thank you Bee Jang this is a great pendant I have made two from the pattern on your Etsy shop. Piracy of you work is a curse. One thing I know people dont steal things that are ugly and your work and patterns are so great these devils must be tempted. I wonder how to prevent it from happening. There are so many craft sites these days.
We love you and the awesome idea's you share. I still am not sure how you have time to sleep. Beading even simple stuff takes me forever.
Happy Summer,

I have been wanting to try a bit more intricate beading project, but so many look too complicated to wrap my head around. I am so grateful you are offering the use of this in such a kind a thoughtful way. I hope no one else takes advantage of your generosity. I had a friend whose handmade lampwork bead designs were stolen by the chinese bead companies as well.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the tutorial. :D

Yes, the stolen happened years ago, I still have bad feeling about it. I didn't buy anything from them until now. :D
